The very first thing you need to do is to check for fuses or
say faulty fuse. Secondly check fan which starts along with air conditioner, it
might be manually switched off or the fan may have been clogged. Also reason
can be lack of refrigerant - charge your air conditioner with refrigerant. Last
thing you need to check is cooling coil - the cooling coil may freeze if there
is no refrigerant in the system.
The blower is probably running when you are accelerating, but you may not have air coming out the dash vents. If there is a vac leak in the HVAC the vent control will go back to the default setting which is defrost. You may not have enough vac to keep the blend doors on the vent setting when the engine is under load.
they are right the air conditioner has nothing to do with the fan running .. your air conditioner is operated by a pressure switch .when it gets low on freon it will not come on, which saves your compressor. your fan only blows the cold air the air conditioner puts in to the coils located inside your dash. which the blower then blows the air into the car.. now you are on the right track look some more you will find the round motor under that dash near the glove box and its held in there with usually 4 small bolts. and removal is easy if you can locate it.. one wire and 4 small bolts and out it comes .. you should be able to get one at a local parts store ..
