The rear park assist does not work on my 2004 Lincoln Towncar and also the front speakers of the radio will quit .If i fool around with the balance control they some time come back on.What could the problem be ?

Check the fuses

Check the wiring harness on the back of the radio to see if it's loose. If you have a Bose system, the amplifier may be going bad.

There is an adjustment screw on the linkage connecting the arm from the steering column to the transmission. loosen it, then slide under the car and push the lever on the side of the transmission into park thenpush the shift lever into park then tighten the screw.

change the relays it will work find a relay diagram and it will be ok

My wife had that issue with her 2004 a week ago

The radio quite working for a couple hours,but as
you said, had sound from rear speakers,then came
back to normal

We have lost the radio about 4 times since Nov of
2003, but not in a couple of years

If I have a solution I will let you know.

I have all the service manuals, but would be here for
days looking thru trouble charts on that issue
