Sounds like you have a speed sensor problem. Possibly input or output shaft speed sensor on transmission. You will need to find out what fault codes are being set and proceed from there.

How do you activate the cruise control on a Mercedes ML 270 cdi.

If you know how to set your speed limiter. To set your cruise control, press the stalk in (to the right). The orange light on your dash should go out and you're ready to set your cruise control. You can start the cruise control by either moving the cruise control stalk up or down. Once you start the cruise control you can move the stalk up or down to increase or decrease your cruise speed. You can move it toward you to shut off the cruise control. You can press it in again to go back to the speed limiter. I hope this helps.

That would be the turbine speed sensor.............not a cheap fix at around £450 with main dealer

Ml 320cdi loses power and drives at low speed. They fixed it. something to do with the gear box. but now the engine gear change does not sound right and the original sound of the V6 is gone. any similar...

i think it might have something to do with the cruse control stick,,but if u turn off the car and restart it wil go away,,,??

Error code P2203 on ml 270 cdi 04/2000

Component Y3/6N3 speed sensor 3 is faulty,That is a transmission code...the trans speed sensors are MADE into a printed circuit board that connects to the valve body...MB part number is 140-270-08-61.. LIST price in the USA is $225. TAKES about 1.5-2 hrs to install

you need a Brake safety switch replaced.This is located behind you brake pedal.it's a common problem. The warning lights will reset after a few engine starts.

Check the gearbox oil level ,but their is no dipstick ,so its a dealer only job unless you can find a snap on man who sells a special tool that can measure the oil level ,

Remove the filler pipe.You will need a 10mm and a torx spanner. Add the oil trough the filler hole untill it leaks out. Replace the the filler pipe. The oil for thr transfer box is added from next to thr propshaft.Thanx Leon Cape Town ZA
