Is there bluish smoke coming out of the exhaust ? That would indicate that the car is burning oil. Is there oil on the ground where the car is parked? That would indicate an oil leak. If the car is burning oil, there is no easy fix for it. If there is an oil leak, that may be fixed, but you would have to have the car looked at by a garage .
Check for oil pressure.Check the compression in each cylinder. Yank the valve cover to see if the camshaft is actually turning during cranking mode,only. Disable the fuel pump or disable the spark(fuel disable preferred) The engine may have "eaten" something it shouldn't. A valve may be broken off inside the cylinder head. Usually an exhaust valve.
what is failing, shaft ,coil,ingniter,pick up coil, thers many diferent items in side toyota dist..under hood heat ,engine heat ,running low on oil top end suffers extra heat.a bad pcv valve pushes oil out dist unit.are cooling fans working properly ..?what are your spark plugs gapped at..all couldmake a differance.
The oil pan drain plug should require a 14mm hex head wrench to remove. The transmission pan requires a 10mm allen head socket, or wrench to remove. Are you sure you're trying to remove the correct drain? The oil drain should be on the passenger side and on the rear corner of the pan.
