{: ) Check first the fuse labeled HVAC1 10A at the rear fuseblock. If okay, the mode actuator could be faulty. You can try this: turn ignition switch and a/c off for a minute. Then turn ignition on, wait forty seconds. Afterwards, start the engine, and check your a/c again.

2005 chevy trailblazer, why is air only blowing out of the defrost and feet panels? Not the front and no air blows on number 4 and 5

Some 2005 & 2006 GM pickups & trailblazers had a software issue with their climate control systems in which the HVAC door(s) which regulate each vent section, (including adequate heating and air conditioning) wouldn't operate as selected by the control knob. Originally this was taken care of under a repair bulletin put out by GM. You can notify your local dealership and check to see if the bulletin is still valid? If not, the dealer will update the software while checking for correct operation of the door regulators which in some cases was also an issue.

2003 Chevy Trailblazer engine power lose light come on

Hi Steve , your vehicle has electronic throttle control . I don't know if you are aware of this. The gas pedal have position sensors an a wiring connector with 4-6 wires .these wires are connected to the engine computer . an there is a electric motor on the throttle body assembly , the computer opens an closes the throttle . You probably have codes stored in the engine computer .
Reduced Engine Power Mode When the PCM detects a condition with the TAC system the PCM may enter a reduced engine power mode. Reduced engine power may cause one or more of the following conditions:
?€¢
Acceleration limiting--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the vehicle acceleration is limited.

?€¢
Limited throttle mode--The control module will continue to use the accelerator pedal for throttle control; however, the maximum throttle opening is limited.

?€¢
Throttle default mode--The control module will turn off the throttle actuator motor and the throttle will return to the spring loaded default position.

?€¢
Forced idle mode--The control module will perform the following actions:

-
Limit engine speed to idle by positioning throttle position, or by controlling fuel and spark if throttle is turned off.

-
Ignore accelerator pedal input.

?€¢
Engine shutdown mode--The control module will disable fuel and de-energize the throttle actuator.

Clicking noise coming from dashboard when i first start my truck.

Mode door module.
This module controls the direction of the air flow. If the module is bad, it will continue to push the door a certain way even it can not move anymore.

The blower on my a/c on 2002 chevy trailblazer only blows from the floor vents and the defroster vents but not the dashboard vents how can this be fixed. Also, it only works on 5

It sounds like you have two problems. First a question though; Is your heating and air conditioning control on the dash automatic (has two knobs that rotate and a display screen in the middle), or manual (has two levers that move up and down for driver/passenger temp and a separate fan knob and mode knob).

In response to the vents being stuck on defrost and floor, from experience i can say that the most likely cause is the mode actuator has failed. If your battery has recently gone dead, that could have brought the problem to the surface. When the battery has gone dead, the heating and air conditioning controls relearn all the positions of the actuators behind the dash when the vehicle has been re-started. If there is a position sensor failing (which happens quite often) in one of the actuators, the heating and air conditioning controls won't be able to learn the correct position of the actuator and (in your case) defaults to the defrost/floor position.

The only way to fix that would be to replace the actuator. I would like to know what type of heating and air conditioning controls you have (manual or automatic) before i say anything on the blower only working on 5.

2006 chevy trailblazer replace 4wheel drive selector

i've got a 2003, and i believe the parts and procedures are the same for the years. there are screws in the dash trim by the ciggarette lighter, and more on the underneath of the dash pad where the gauge cluster is. then carefully pop the dash trim out. there are retaining clips that hold it in besides the screws. they should pop out without too much effort. i'd start near the radio and be careful. there also may be two more screws near the bottom of the steering wheel that you'll have to remove the trim below it to get at.
