This can be a few things, for starters most common in my experience is when you have air bubbles in the coolant system (Mostly when its been recently drained or flushed) You will have no heat. Also, if your heater core has failed (in most cases water will leak from under your dash) you will loose heat and your vehicle will most likely overheat. Last but certainly not least, a failing head gasket could cause combustion to leak into your coolant system causing air bubbles which could make your heater not work which could also cause overheating in further along failing head gaskets. Things to check would be a leaking heater core under the dash, overheating, check engine lights and bleeding the coolant system.
check you coolant level. thos car are known for head gasket. if its a 2.2 liter check the fron right of the engine between cylinder head and engine block. if its a 3.1 the cylinder head crack behind the alternator mount. could also be you coolant thermostat. hope it help
You didnt fix the leak all the way apparently because those are sure signs of head gasket failure. Get a compression test done and check your oil and coolant to see if they have any milky white color and texture. More than likely thats going to be your problem. I hope that helps.
The sensor in the tank is probably bad. If you overfill the tank it will come out the overflow when your car warms up. You may also have a leak in a hose or radiator tank.
