Hi, this timing mark is for the 85 model, but they are the same..
Click on the following direct Link. It has the Timing Belt Diagrams with Marks for the Camshaft and Crankshaft AND Guidelines that you will need.
"Align Mark on Camshaft Sprocket with the Valve Cover Surface."
It also has a variety of other Diagrams for your future use.
Let me know if this helped, or if you have additional information or questions. Feel Free to contact me at FixYa.com

88 honda prelude double over head cam timing marks

there is a arrow on each cam lets call them north, you will also see marks at east and west to level cams, east and west need to be parallel were the head mets the valve cover while north points up done. Also there is a mark on the flywheel on the crank that needs to point north as well If you have the plastic cover on the lower you will see a plactic to line it up to.

Hi can you please tell me how much a new or used motor would be to puchase and then the cost of getting it fitted for a honda prelude 88-89 model? and where do I get one. I live in brisbane south

You need the Honda B20A engine, it was used on their vehicles from 88-91 Preludes. You can get them on ebay several other places online. You can get them shipped to you in Australia. Good luck to you
