My Accord V6 '99 has over 215,000. You can use synthetic transmission oil if its zr1 compatible. I change mine every 60,000 or so. Its 3 qts for the v6. The nissan maximas are the ones that have transmissions that generally dont last past 120,000 miles. Why do you still see many 98 and 99 accords still on the road Carlos?
If yours went at 70,000 than you need to buy a haynes manual and keep up with the maintenance on your car. By the way. Honda Accords are notorious for running fine after 200,000 miles. The parts are easy access and if you use a cheap obd2 scanner you can zero in on any problem with the car.

Auto transmissions in 1998/1999 accords are notoriously weak, the subject of a recall, and VERY few will go past 100k miles. Mine went at 70k. If you do a lot of city driving, every 15-20k miles should prolong the short life of these transmissions.

Can I use this oil in a 2009 Honda Accord EX? Is a Fram ultra synthetic XG7317 the correct oil filter?

Filter is on the application list and oil is acceptable, though as it is a basics oil I suggest you take the high mileage claim with a pinch of salt.
Chances are the oil additive pack isn't as good as that used in top-line branded oils from oil companies with their own full laboratory facilities.

High mileage oil is intended for engines covering a high annual mileage and not an excuse to have fewer oil changes with engines covering only an average annual mileage or fewer than that.

2001acura cl trans slip third

Honda is known to have issues with the transmission on Acura and Honda Accord with cars build between 1999-2002.
The reason is that those transmissions does not have an internal transmission oil filter built in and as the clutches start to wear down the oil becomes contaminated.
The first step is to make a complete transmission oil change ( DO NOT FLUSH THE TRANSMISSION IT IS A BIG NO ).
Use only Acura ZF1 from Honda, I will strongly recommend to install an external transmission oil filter.

My 1994 Honda Accord LX words fine. It had the timing belts replaced at 55,000 miles, and I have been giving it regular maintenance. Does it really need a 60,000 mile check up, with all the fluids replaced...

Hi:
Boy, you have a low mileage car!

I would think that you would not need much done, if the timing belt was just changed, but perhaps your transmission servicing should still be done, as that would not have been done with the belt change. Of course, your normal oil changes need to be done too.

The maintenance light on my accord 1991 turned red does this mean i need a tune up oil change which has been more that 7000 miles or am i looking at something that will cost me alot

THE LIGHT COMES ON TO LET YOU KNOW WHEN MAINTENENCE IS COMING DUE OTHER THAN OIL CHANGES. SUCH AS, TIRE ROTATIONS, TRANSMISSION SERVICE, ETC. ROUTINE MAINTENCE ACCORDING TO APPROXIMATED MILAGE. IT SHOULD HAVE A BUTTON ON THE DASH TO THE LEFT OF THIS LIGHT THAT CAN BE PUSHED IN WITH A PEN TO RESET. REFER TO OWNERS MANUAL FOR SCHEDULED ROUTINE MAINTENANCE ACCORDING TO YOUR OVERALL MILEAGE

I have a 1999 Honda Accord V6 and cant find trans fill point

Just the very top ring of the transmission dipstick is visible with the air filter housing lifted up. Removing the upper air filter housing and the rubber ducting for the intake will allow enough room for a transmission funnel to be used.
