I had same prob - no rhyme nor reason as to when, where or why it wouldn't start. After two new starters the shop finally found a starter wire/cable that was corroded on the inside. Mech' could move it back and forth and it would / would not start. Changed cable six months ago - no problems since. Hope it helps.
Changed which cables? Mine is doing this. Just had it towed home.
Sorry, I don't know which cable it was. The mech' at the dealer told me about it but didn't show me. He said that when he moved the cable back
I think it is a wire harness behind the fusebox. It is a Control Module that controls various electronic functions. I will ask when they replace mine. I will also report if this fixes my problem. I had my jeep towed home last night, and this morning I started it now problem. It is weird.
