Found these two fuses. Not only check the fuses, use a test light and check voltage on fuse circuit, one is hot all the time. The other goes hot with key on.
Ground wire is important, also, ground wire is usually black in color.
if both headlights went out at the same time, check your fuses. because high beams use more power than headlights, they are often on a separate fuse. if fuses are fine, replace the headlights.

sounds like a bad install. disconnect fuse to radio amp or remove power from amp as to not drain the battery. have a pro check out your security sys. better safe than smoke!
