You can try adjusting it first, you have to pull the center arm rest out and tighten the bolts. to get that off there is a cover under the ebrake cable with two screws then two screws on the side close to the floor in the back of the arm rest. then tightned the two bolts. if that does work you need a new cable. it also shouldnt be hard to do. it hooks to the caliper in the back with a little pin that you just pop out. take it off and run the new cable up to the handle and hook it up the same way it comes off. not sure what a shop would charge, but it shouldnt be hard to do at all.

I have a 94 acura integra, my brake light dont work but everything else does. I dont have the owners mannual which fuse goes to the brake lights? Or how can i fix it? the bulbs arent bad so how can this be...

Hello deezeesmeyo
Check fuse# 42 a 20amp fuse in the fuse block located under the hood on the right side of the engine compartment. If the fuse is ok, check the stoplight switch located under the left side of the
dash on the brake peddle bracket. Hope this is helpful.

My emergency brake cable broke with the brake engaged. how do i disengage it so i can get to a garage?

If the emergency brake cable broke, then the brake should disengage by itself, unless there is rust in the braking system preventing it from doing so.

An engaged brake needs tension on the cable to continue to hold the vehicle still.

You could have it towed by a flat bed that slowly draws the car up onto its flat bed, even if the brakes or park was engaged. Allow the tow truck operator to worry about this problem.

Good luck on getting your vehicle to the garage.

Parking brake cable broke, 94 chevy s10 stuck, how do you release emergency brake and do i fix it

If it broke it should have released itself, the system is a simple cabel pully system, if its broken the cable cant have the tension to keep the brake engadged. if you want to release the handel pull the release and physicaly move the pedal.

Can i put a 1994 acura integra ls trans to replace a 1989 acura i

I don't think this would be possible wihtout some hassles.

The engine type build changed twice between the 89 and the 94 series integra.

I would suggest you speak to Honda specialised mechanic before you purchase the 94 tranny.

Also check out the Honda forums as they ahve guys who have done some handy things with the ol integra

Acura Integra ID

there should be a sticker around the driver door that will tell you. if that fails you can always write the VIN down and search it most times the basic info is free (ie: make/mode/MFG year)
