Where is my fuel pump fuse located? i try to start my car all it does is crank and crank but doesn't kick over. i've already changed my fuel filter.

Where is the fuel relay switch located on a 2002 chevy Cavalier?

its on the drivers side wheel well. when you pull the cover off there is a sticker in the cover with the layout of all the fuses and relays and each one is marked accordingly.

well, you've identified a fuel problem, for sure. Next step is to see if it's getting up to engine. Turn the key on and you should hear your pump run for about 3 seconds, before it shuts off. If it runs, consider if you need a fuel filter, then have the pressure checked.
If it doesn't come on, maybe a fuse is burnt out, a bad fuel pump relay, wiring, or a bad pump. Start by checking for power at pump when cranking with a test light or voltmeter. Good luck.

check all your rounds on the body, behind kick panels, and in engine compartment. The relays you hear clicking are the power relay whcih turns your engine computer on. The other relay is the fuel pump relay, which is turned on by the engine computer. start there, report back.

PS. When you press the gas pedal to the floor during cranking, it shuts off the fuel supply to clear a flooded engine.

My 96 sunfire just quit running and now wont start, i'm not getting fuel to my fuel injectors. but i can hear my fuel pump kicking on when i turn the key over.

change your fuel filter. re-test

Starting problem

Try the idle air control valve it is located near the throttle body it has a four wire plug and has two small hoses attached to it this is a small stepper motor that controls the amount of air on start up this part will cost about $200 from a popular auto parts store.

The fuel pump fuse located under the hood, behind the passenger side headlight. There SHOULD be a bank of 2-8 relays, with some fuses. One of those fuses (in a plastic protection carrier) is for the fuel pump. Its under the hood,passenger side, front of engine, passenger side of radiator,mounted on the relay panel(4or5 boxs)look for a long black thing and pull down on it,a #15 fuse.----------`- Thanks.
