What type of antifreeze does a 2000 yukon require

Automotive "coolant" is the proper mixture of anti-freeze (correct type depends upon your engine requirements) and water.

Any antifreeze that has ethelene glycol in will do . For freezing conditions a mix of 55-60% anti freeze will be required . Castrol concentrate is a good one and mix it before pouring in the radiator. So for a 10 litre system mix 6 parts of antifreeze to 4 parts of water. Work out your requirements like that.

You mean how much water need to mix with antifreeze...?
Most car required half water with half antifreeze.

any antifreeze will work
you use antifreeze in the winter to keep every thing from freezing
you use coolant for the summer month to keep the motor from
over heating
so there is a difference

thermastat maybe sticking or to high of a temp thermastat. change it to recommended type from auto parts store and you will have heat.

Volkswagon sells their own antifreeze for use in the New Beetles. It's an extended life antifreeze, but may be slightly modified from the commonly available extended life antifreeze available in your auto parts store. You can always ask the counter rep at Autozone or O'Riely's if they would recdommend the standard extended life antifreeze.

Prestone comes to mind at first but most major brands are the same. Follow directions and mix your antifreeze with water in the ratio the manufacturer recommends. Sometimes straight antifreeze is worse than hardly any. I believe most manufacturers recommend a 50/50 mixture.

the best coolant is by far is the MOPAR/JEEP OEM coolant, next to that I would use Prestone brand long life coolant type..
