Most oil filters are screw off /screw on type ,you may need a oil filter remover tool to get them off when you replace them be sure to smear a light coat of oil on to the rubber ring on the filter to prevent damaging it ....hope this helps.....cheers

I am trying to change the oil. where is the oil pan located on the undercarriage?

The oil pan on a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora holds all of the oil for the engine and also protects the oil sump pump. The pan hangs low to the ground, making it prone to damage from rock.
Set the jack underneath the front crossmember of the car.
Set the jack underneath the transmission and lift it up until it just contacts the pan.Unbolt the oil pan from the bottom of the engine using the 3/8-inch ratchet, extension and sockets. Lower the pan off of the engine and away from the car.You must first remove the transmision, then the exhaust crossover pipe, then the oil pan. ------------

Thanks. keep updated for any more query.you can rate this solution and show your appreciation.

What kind of tool to use on a olds aurora 3.5L, 2001, on the oil cap to remove the filter

A standard oil filter "cap" type remover will work. I bought one at Wal-Mart for a few bucks.
Before I bought the remover I just used two large bolts threaded through a piece of wood - spaced about 2.5" apart. Worked, but not as easy to use as the real thing that fits on to a 3/8" ratchet.

Where is the oil pump located on the 2001 oldsmobile aurora and can repair it easy

it should be in the oil pan. Drain the oil, remove the bolts, remove the pump, and when re-installing get a new pan gasket or it will leak.

Where is the oil pressure sensor on a 2001 Oldsmobile Aurora with a 3.5 V-6

The oil pressure sensor is between the exhaust manifold and oil filter. You can get to it better from the bottom by removing the oil filter to give you more room and it should take you under 30 min to replace oil filter and all. I guess if you have long thin arms you can get to it from the top too. Good luck and hope this helps.
