Theres a bracket bolted to the intake and the throttle body and after it's unbolted and the wires from the module and the coil unplugged the module is bolted to the bracket and it's alumunim heat sik with two 5.5MM headed bolts and the coil you have to grind the heads off the rivets as the new coil comes with bolts to replace the rivets. Most parts stores have a tester to check the module. The big chains like Orily, Auto Zone and Advance all do. The testing is free. If it tests good have them test it several times as sometimes after they've been on for awhile they'll fail. Fuel pumps fail alot on that truck, takes the relay out with it check both.

I have a 1993 GMC sierra 1500 extended cab 4.3 v6 TBI and I'm hearing stories about this Accel Remote Mount Super Coil burning out Ignition Control Modules

I don't know about your particular application, but I do know that manufacturers are not using heavy enough wire for many things on a vehicle. So if the coils are bigger (higher output voltage) then they probably would draw more power and more load on control modules. I don't know any reason why stock would not be enough spark, these are a lot more powerful already than ignition systems were 40+ years ago. So in my opinion, no I wouldn't do it.

My climate control unit in the dash doesn't turn on when I press any of the buttons. It is back lite but there no power going to the blower. The number display doesn't show any # when I turn the knobs. ...

2 wheel drive or 4 X 4 ? Automatic or manual climate control
Do you know what DTC'S - diagnostic trouble code's are ?
DTC B1375
The ignition 3 voltage circuit is a discrete input to the HVAC control module. The HVAC control modules uses the input to determine that the ignition switch is in the RUN position. When the ignition switch is in the RUN position, ignition voltage is applied to the input.
Rather then guessing as to what the problem , not being able to diagnose properly , your best bet mite be to have a qualified repair shop check it out . Would need to hook up a professional or factory scan tool to check code's ,see if the climate control module will communicate with the tool .
HVAC Control Module
The HVAC control module is a class 2 device that interfaces between the operator and the HVAC system to maintain air temperature and distribution settings. The battery positive voltage circuit provides power that the control module uses for keep alive memory (KAM). If the battery positive voltage circuit loses power, all HVAC DTCs and settings will be erased from KAM. The body control module (BCM), which is the vehicle mode master, provides a device on signal.

I HAVE A 99 GMC YUKON, AND IN THE PAST COUPLE YEARS THE SECURITY LIGHT SOMETIMES COMES ON AND WONT LET ME START MY TRUCK. I HAVE TO WAIT TEN MINUTES UNTIL IT STOPS BLINKING TURN THE KEY OFF AND TRY IT...

This is the relearn process if you replace a key and don`t have a scan tool. You have to get the codes from the Theft Deterrent module to see what could be causing the problem. If your key is worn out it could cause this problem.Try using a different key if you have one.The dealership parts department has a tool to check the keys.Usually done at no charge.Only takes seconds to do.Could also be a bad ignition cylinder. That`s why you need the codes.Other wise you are just spending money and buying parts that you don`t need.Let me know what codes you get and I`ll be glad to help you out.Good luck.
