Idling problems 1992 honda accord / in park car idles back and forth from 1000 to almost 3000rpms constantly, in gear it does it only sometimes. wired across the E.C.U. unit under pass. side dash, it gave me a code for throttle position sensor, so i changed out the throttle body intake(because you cant just change the sensor alone). also changed fuel filter, injector resistor, fast idle thermo valve, and IAC valve, tried checking for a code again, now i get no code, but the problem continues, i am a paint and body tech, definately no mechanic, but for a girl i follow a chiltons or haynes ok, im lost on this though

This is common on the older hondas, the idle goes up and down, this is caused by a couple of things, you may have low coolant or a bad idle air control valve, the last thing it may be is the power steering preasure switch, this switch is the most common, when you turn the wheel the switch is actived to raise the idle . sometimes that switch shorts out and cause the problem you are having, this switch is located on the powersteering hose, unplug the connector and if the idle stops going crazy then thats the problem.
That is normal, in park or neutral there is no resistance on the engine when you put it in gear there is resistance because the car wants to move. Also when you turn on the ac that turns on the compressor that is run off the belts of the engine so it puts more resistance on the engine. Low idle is not a problem unless the engine dies.
If it does that when the engine is warmed up (full operating temp.) it may be you iac valve, or your fast idle valve. They get gummed up. It also could be your PVC valve, but probably not.:
IAC in red. Fast Idle in yellow. Your PVC valve is plugged into the valve cover (the black hose in between the red and yellow in the picture) it simply pulls out. It should rattle when shaken.
Hope this gives you a start on the problem.
Or it might be defective. See steps below to check...
Disconnect idle control solenoid valve electrical connector.
Disconnect upper hose to solenoid valve from manifold and apply vacuum to hose. Valve should hold vacuum.
Continue applying vacuum to hose and briefly energize valve by
connecting battery positive terminal to the black/yellow wire terminal
and negative battery terminal to the green/black wire terminal. Valve
should not hold vacuum when energized.
If idle control solenoid valve fails to perform as outlined, valve is defective.
near the throttle body there is an adjusting screw(flat head) for air fuel mixture, it's on a deep cavity sometimes with a cover, adjust counterclockwise will increase the idle.
