You need to check three things if your car wont start.check the fuel make sure your getting fuel to your engine. If so check to see if you have spark u can do that by taking a spark plug wire off the plug and put a screw driver in it have someone crank your engine and tap the metal part of screwdriver to metal if it sparks your good.the last is compression u need a compression tester to check that.
pull wire off spark plug. insert screw or metal object into spark plug boot.hold metal object near metal of motor. crank over engine while another person looks for spark if no spark l check coil. use same method. from there it will be computer
A car not starting can be caused by many, many things.........but...................a bad thermostat or a good thermostat will not cause or keep a car from starting in any way. you need to know if it is getting gas to the cylinders........and to check for spark at the cylinders.......pull a spark plug wire at the spark plug, pull the spark plug and see if it looks wet or smells like strong gas odor....then plug wire onto spark plug, (without re-installing spark plug), and hold spark plug onto a grounded metal object on engine (using a rubber insulated object, so you don't get shocked), then have someone turn engine over and look to see if spark plug sparks........if yes, re-install spark plug, etc.......your ignintion is sparking, but if you are getting fuel, it may be a jumped timing chain? You may need mechanical help........don't trust the person that told you about a thermostat........
Why are they stuck? Is it from setting and there rusted up? or are they sezed up from lack of oil? If its rust just take some trans oil and pour some into each spark plug hole and let it set over night, and then put a socket on the harmonic and turn back and forth until it frees up. If its lack of oil its my best guess you better look for another engine.
