Pull the car up on ramps, lay under the car and reach up between the firewall and the motor. you will need swivels and extensions to get up in there.. plan on a couple hours.

How do I change the spark plug of the dodge magnum 2006

· Open the hood and remove the bolts that hold the engine cover in place, if your Dodge comes with an engine cover (depending on model and year). If so equipped, pull the cover off the engine.

· 2

Grab a spark plug wire by the base of the wire and pull the wire up and out of the engine. (You may need to wiggle it back and forth while pulling up on it to get it out of the engine.)

· 3

Trace the wire back to the power distributor and pull the spark plug wire off the distributor. Make a note of the plug orientation.

· 4

Install the new plug wire in the place of the removed one. Match the new wire with the old one to make sure they have the same size. Press the plug wire over the distributor electrode and onto the spark plug firmly, so that the ends are secure. Installation is the reverse of removal procedure.

· 5

Repeat the above procedure for all the other spark plug wires. It is best to change all the spark plug wires at the same time.

Replace rear spark plugs on 2.7 liter 2006 dodge stratus

I have a 2001 Stratus with the 2.7L V6. From what I understand, the engine compartments are very similar. When I change the rear spark plugs, I have found that I need to use a spark plug socket on a 6" extension, with an elbow socket. There isn't enough space in the engine bay to get straight over the spark plugs, and I have yet to find an easier way than simply using a elbow socket.

When installing new spark plugs, it's always a good idea to use a small amount of anti-seize on the threads.

2006 dodge caravan, 6 cyl. relaced cole, sparkepugs and wires in oct. 2009. Engine is reading #2 cyl. misfire again. Why

Firts time swap spark plug & ignition coil between two different cylinders and read again if the same #2 cyl. misfires !
If #2 cyl. is OK and another cyl. misfires then spark plug or ignition coil is out of order and must be replaced.
If #2 cyl. misfires again then #2 injector must be checked !
If ignition coils & spark plugs (complete set for 6 cyl.) are replaced then you must check #2 injector !

2006 Dodge Caravan 3.8 V-6: check engine light on

The P0456 code has nothing to do with spark plugs. It's an EVAP (emissions) code. Best bet is to read up on the suggested solutions for that exact code: P0456

Idle flare is normal on all newer fuel injected cars. I think maybe you got a little paranoid, probably first spark plug change done by you. Gas milelage is easily explained in 2 ways, one the gov't is making the gas companies put oxygenated fuel into the gas & 2 you could go with a set of bosch oxygen sensors, pick up 15% more gas mileage
