On the inside trim, you can remove screws (these screws may be covered by filler pieces or may be visible, or they may require you pry a plastic piece off that covers the screws) that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and disconnect the wiring for your controls.

Adjusting the parking brake on a 2003 Toyota Matrix

If you have a handbrake,,,,, I believe that the adjstment is at the bottom of the lever. Also if you have Drum brakes on the rear, It is possible you are due for a brake job. Have it inspected.

My mother has a 2003 toyota matrix. what size fuel filter does it need?

When you go to the parts store to buy one (or online), you will look in their guide for Toyota, then find the 2003 models, then Matrix and it will list the part numbers for her filters. Then you just find the box with the correct number and you are set.

Hope this was helpful,

2003 Toyota Matrix rear hatch will not unlock

Hi there,
Try adding a little WD40 to the lock itself. Use your hands to lock and unlock it to get the oil to spread. Put a little oil on the key, then put it into the lock. Use your hand and key to move it through the lock and unlock stages. I hope that this is some help to you. Good luck and let me know. Have a great night.~MWD
