How do you replace the passanger side headlight bulb in a 2002 Chevy Trailblazer?

Your grille and chrome bar are held to your truck with eight clips. You can see the top clips if you look. First VERY GENTLY!!! start pulling your grille until you start popping those clips out. Keep an eye on your chrome bar, because it is clipped into the headlight. GENTLY pull on the chrome bar at the headlight until the clips come off, then work your way over to the other headlight. The goal is to be take your time and be gentle until you have all the clips released. Set your grille aside(be careful not to scratch it). Each head light has two metal tabs on top of it, the outer tabs are slightly hidden in the fender. If you pull these tabs up, it will release the headlight from the frame of the truck(be careful not to let the headlight fall out and scratch your bumper). Once you have the headlight assembly out, pop off the circle rubber cover on the back of the unit. Your bulbs will be inside there, and make sure you don't touch the bulb when removing it. Just reverse the process when your done changing your bulbs. Don't forget to put the rubber cap back on the headlamp unit before you re-install it

Replacing headlights in my 2002 chevy trailblazer

You have to get to your headlights inside the hood. You turn your light bracket a quarter of a turn to unlock it. Then pull the bracket out, the bulb will be attached. Do NOT touch the new bulb with your bare hands. The oil from your skin will cause the halogen bulb to get tooo hot and will burn out. You might as well change both of the lights as well. The other one will be going out soon.

My headlights continuously blow on my 2002 Chevy Trailblazer. Everytime I replace the bulb and white connector plug on one side the other side melts and blows.

This is an unfortunate regular problem on this cars, if I am not mistaken they have a factory recall to fix this problem. It is caused by electrical problem on the wiring. Take it to the dealership see what they say. Good luck.

How to install headlamp on a 2002 chevy trailblazer

To change a headlight bulb in the 2002 Trailblazer: I writing this with the orientation of standing in front of and facing the Trailblazer.
Open the hood.
Remove the plastic cover that goes from the left to right over the headlight bracket, radiator, etc. It has 4 plastic pop retainers and 2 sheet metal screws. Remove the grill center bar that passes in front of both headlights. The grill and center bar come off as one piece. Start at one end and carefully pry it out, a little at a time. There are 2 clips at the headlight and 2 clips near the center top of the grill and 2 at the bottom. Two more in the other headlight.
Each headlight has 2 black metal clips that hold the assembly onto the bracket. One is above and behind headlight assembly, towards the right end if you're working on the left headlight (and visa-versa), and the other is under the fender (it pulls up OK, but may take some patience to push it back down when you're done).
Pull the entire headlight assembly forward. I only moved mine an inch or two. On the back of the assembly are round rubber covers. Pull off the one covering the back end of the bulb that needs changing. reach in and turn to bulb clockwise 1/4 turn and it will slip out.
Unhook the connector from the bulb. It has a little catch on it, otherwise it just pulls out.
Connect the new bulb.
Reassemble everything in reverse order.
As I said, the under fender clip that holds the headlight assembly on to the bracket may take some patience. It seemed to slip down OK once I had it in exactly the right position. Either that I needed to reach the required amount of cussing.
Good Luck...

Electrical low-beam headlight wire on 02 Chevy Trailblazer burnt

Get yourself to a junkyard and pack yourself a light lunch while you're at it. Take a leisurely stroll through the junk that closely resembles the one you need parts for. Go to the closest wiring harness to the headlight assembly, take your time and don't go trying to **** it, and unplug it from the bulbs up front. Make a simple and straight forward swap and do take the time to stop and smell the junkers, it's quite relaxing! Then, you should seriously make sure your new wiring harness is properly grounded (!), which I suspect to have been a contribing factor to your problem of overheating the bulb socket. Do take the time to go over the stuff that should be grounded and make it so. Th e job is quite simple and well worth you taking the time to do it yourself.

Head light bulb replacement 2003 chevy trailblazer

Simple! (I have the same model as well) Pop off the front chevy grill - it's held on with spring clips. Then look at the headlight assembly - there are 2 slide clips on either side, near the top - they have a tab that is bent forward - lift them UP. It may take a little force as they are usually stiff. The headlight assembly can then be pulled off the car, and the bulbs replaced.
