remove the fuel tank to access the filter, yet usually not necessary at 30k miles usually it is 100k mi. for replacement, unless you bought a bunch of old bad gas!

The fuel tank air filter is located on the filler neck of the fuel tank. It can be accessed through the left rear wheel well and requires removing a part of the wheel well cover to gain access. There is a hose and a few mounting bolts for the canister and that's it. Maintenance interval is every 30k miles per owner's manual.

Where is the fuel filter located on a 2001 Hyundai elantra

That fuel filter is in the fuel tank, attached to the fuel pump. Not a very difficult job. Remove the rear seat cushion, then remove the access panel to the pump. Remove the gas cap to relieve any pressure. Remove the ground wire and fuel lines, then remove the filter.

P0466 2001 elantra. Won't allow proper fueling. Where to start

1st start by listening for vacuum leaks in hoses and your air intake manifold. 2nd run some Lucas Oil gas treament through your gas system to clean fuel injectors, revive seals, and etc. If that does not work, try replacing your fuel filter(The fuel filter is located under the rear seat in a compartment above the fuel tank. Also, a filter sock at the base of the fuel pump located in the fuel tank) as well as your fuel pump which is right there with your fuel filter. Hope this gets you at least started on the right path.

Where is the fuel fliter located on a Hyundai Elantra 2001 ?

It is located in the fuel sending unit. This is the assembly that sits at the top of the tank and includes the floater assembly as well. You will have to take the tank down in order to get to the filter.

I , i try to find the fuel filter for my hyundai elantra 2001

The fuel filter is located under the rear seat in a compartment above the fuel tank. Also, a filter sock at the base of the fuel pump located
in the fuel tank.

On 2001 models the fuel filter is part of the fuel pump. To replace the fuel filter, disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the back seat and take fuel pump cover off to get to the fuel pump. Then you have to 1) disconnect the electrical connector from fuel pump/fuel sending unit, 2) disconnect the high pressure hose and the fuel return hose from the fuel pump and 3) remove the fuel pump mounting flange screws. You can then lift the fuel pump and replace the filter.

Good luck and hope this helps

Fuel filter location

The fuel filter location for a 2005 Hyundai Accent depends on where it was manufactured and when. It is possibly mounted external, on the outside of the fuel tank directly above the fuel pump and accessible by removing the back seat. The other possibility is that it is mounted inside the fuel tank and requires removing the back seat, the metal panel, the fuel pump itself and then accessing the filter.

Help this helps and good luck.
