I have a Jeep grand Cherokee with a diagnostic code P0513. truck is not starting and I cant find what the code location is. I think it might be the starter but I want to see if I am going in the right direction

Try your other key. i just looked up the code on a chrysler site and it lists it as a key imobilizer error. You may have to bring the keys to a dealer to get them reprogrammed.

Grand Cherokee P0700 Code Definition
If you are scanning your vehicle right now, you should be looking for a second code that tells you what is actually wrong. Think about it like this.
P0700 Says- "Hey there's something wrong with this transmission.
The Next Code(s) Say- "I'm the actual problem going on with the transmission. I'm what you're looking for."
That code is for the engine coolant temperature sensor. "...input above maximum acceptable voltage." I would try a new temp. sensor. If that doesn't fix it, you may need to have an engine scanner hooked up, and see what the sensor is sending to the computer, and go from there.
A bad coolant temp. sensor can cause hard starting like your symptoms.

Had the same code on my 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Started having shifting problems as well. Code is for governor pressure sensor on trans. Cost me about $800 for dealer to fix. No problems after part changed out.
12 is a battery disconnect within the last 50 start cycles and 55 means the end of the diagnostic cycle. Basically the computer found nothing wrong. The 12 code may seem incorrect if you haven't disconnected the battery recently, but from my experience the 12 code shows up almost all the time regardless.
