I have a 2000 4 cyl. automatic Camry with 52,000. Recently, the car has developed a rough idle and it stalls. This occurs when the engine is hot and I slow the car down at a stop light or it stall as I am making a turn from after having slowed the car at an intersection. After applying the brakes the car begins idle roughly and stalls then the brakes stop operating and the car still is moving forward. I brought it into a non-dealer mechanic and he cleaned the throttle control. Problem returned. I brought it into Toyota and they replaced the vacuum switching valve and said the EGR was ok. Problem returned less than 1 week later. i changed to ilde control motor and cleaned the throttle body thank you jose

1. Error Code 24. Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
Solution:
Check the following:
- IAT Connector and wiring.
- Intake Air Temperature Sensor.
- Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor.
- ECM.
2. Rough Idling when the engine is hot.
The following are the reasons due to which the engine can perform bad when it is hot.
- Fuel pump control circuit.
- Fuel pump pressure.
- Fuel injectors.
- Non Return Valve clogged, located on the lower side of car chassis above the fuel tank.
- Engine compression, valve clearance, spark plugs.

It can be issue with IAC( idle air control valve) causing the problem.
