1996 buick lesaber shift solenoid B. Where is it located? The code is (P0756) Shift solenoid B ckt performance or stuck off.

  • Anonymous Jul 19, 2010

The shift solenoid is located under the transmission oil pan. However, check the 5-C fuse in the interior fuse box under the instrument panel, is that fuse blown out?

  • Anonymous Jul 19, 2010

I will check the fuse in the morning. Thanks. On the solenoid. Your telling me ill have to drop the oil pan to get to it? Or can i get to it without dropping the oil pan?????

SOURCE: 2001 Buick Century shift solenoid

It is in the side cover on the valve body. The transmission needs to be removed to access the solenoids.

SOURCE: where is the shift control 2-3 solenoid located on a 1996

shift solenoids are located inside the transmission. The easiest way to get to them, is to remove the drivers side front tire, and CV axle. There will be a square aluminum cover right there. IF you remove this cover, all the solenoids will be right there.

P0756 p0758 codes are showing on 03 chevy suburban. Do I need to change the 1-2 and 2-3 solenoids?

The P0756 means Shift Solenoid "B" Performance or Stuck Off, and the P0758 means Shift Solenoid "B" Electrical. What you should do is clear the fault code with your tech 2, If the code still on, I think you should take your car to car repair shop.

Look at your fuel filter or fuel pump or a bad fitting on your gas line. If the code p0756 shows up. It will be your SHIFT SOLENOID B CKT PREFORMANCE or STUCK (OFF). But more than likely look at your fuel pump.
