By popping I assume you mean breaking or coming off the pulleys. If it is just coming off the pulleys you most likely either don't have it adjusted to the correct tension or you have routed it wrong. If it is breaking then you have too much tension on it or have it routed incorrectly.
U may have a worn bearing in the automatic belt tensioner
have it checked for excessive play
If it is breaking, you may have a frozen pulley, bad bearing, etc.
If it keeps popping off, one of your pulleys is misaligned. The most common pulley to cause this problem is the Idler Pulley. Make sure your Idler Pulley turns without too much resistance, wiggle it back and forth to make sure their isn't much play in it, and if it checks out continue to check your other pulleys.
Also, check for obstructions that may be kicking the belt off.
