By popping I assume you mean breaking or coming off the pulleys. If it is just coming off the pulleys you most likely either don't have it adjusted to the correct tension or you have routed it wrong. If it is breaking then you have too much tension on it or have it routed incorrectly.

If it is breaking, you may have a frozen pulley, bad bearing, etc.

If it keeps popping off, one of your pulleys is misaligned. The most common pulley to cause this problem is the Idler Pulley. Make sure your Idler Pulley turns without too much resistance, wiggle it back and forth to make sure their isn't much play in it, and if it checks out continue to check your other pulleys.

Also, check for obstructions that may be kicking the belt off.

Tighten Serpentine Belt

Technically, you don\'t. The tensioner pulley keeps the belt tight. If you took the belt off and put it back on, and now it is not tight, it may be on one of the pulleys wrong.

Hi, I need to change my serpentine belt but my other belts are looking kinda rough, so I think I'm just going to change them all. Looking online I noticed different sizes for the belts for my 1995...

Firts of all don't get a belt on line, go to the auto parts store and get one there, They can match up old belts and also look up the correct belt for your car. You need to know what year and size of the motor and what els you have that is belt driven like Ac and power steering and such. If you take your old belts in they can match them with what is in the book to make sure they are right and you don't have to worry about getting the wrong belt.

1998 chevy truck tail light an panel light popin fuse,s i checked all wiring in rear no damage to wiring bought an change 3 way bulb holder. still same prob, don,t no were to go next Keith

Somtimes the bulbs get a dead short in them even though they look OK. Install new bulbs or remove all bulbs on this circuit and reinstall one at a time to see if fuse pops. I had this problem with signal lights on 95 chevy 1500 and turned out the back up bulbs were on the same circuit. Bad back up bulb so once truck was in reverse it blew the fuse and then the signals did not work. Cheap enough to be worth a shot.
