the service engine light is prob due to the oxygen sensor being damaged, not replace or you having the catalytic converter taken off---just messing with you. start at auto zone and have then do a free code read then go from there. you should troubleshoot the low fluid level switch for your brake fluid. unplug it and see if the light goes off and if it doesn't jump the two terminals on the harness. oh the car will have to be running. Either take it to a dealership and have the mechanic do it for you,,or purchase a code reader for your vehicle of ebay and do it for yourself.

you will need to take it in for a diagnosis scan. this Will scan for trouble codes that will direct you and your mechanic to the issue at hand. it will also tell you how to fix this issue as well. once this problem is fixed, the light will shut off.

In most cases, it a failed sensor of some sort. most auto zones will scan the ecm for free.

most any sensor going bad can cause the check engine light to come on,try disconnecting the posative battery cable for 15 seconds ,then put it back on,will reset the codes, or take it to auto zone,they will test your computer for codes at no charge to you.i had a venture van my was ox. sensor. thanks robert b.
