Remove the seat belts from the floor and seat. Use a screw driver to open the seat belt casing and clean it out. Often seat belts can get stuck when coming out or going in, if there is debris in there.

The only other thing to look out for, is to check the spring. If the spring has stopped functioning, it's more worth your time to get a new one then to try and fix the old one.

How do you remove the backseat of a 2008 toyota camry

Step 1

Slide the two front seats forward. This may not be necessary, but it will give you more room to work.

Step 2

Pull the seatbelts out of the slits at the back of the cushion. You are not removing the seat belts, just moving them out of the way.

Step 3

Remove the mounting bolt from the rear seat cushion with a socket wrench. You will have to lift up the front edge of the cushion to get at this bolt. Then, pull the cushion up and out of the Camry.

Step 4

Locate the seat back locks and undo them by pulling them up.

Step 5

Move the seat backs down and remove the mounting bolts with a socket wrench. These bolts will be located at the center hinges.

Pull the seat back up and out of the Camry.

Where are the fuses located for the air conditioner in a 2001 pontiac bonneville

The interior fuse box in a Pontiac Bonneville is underneath the backseat on the driver's side.

To remove the rear seat cushion:
1. Pull up on the front of the cushion to release the
front hooks.
2. Pull the cushion up and out toward the front of
the vehicle.

To reinstall the rear seat cushion:

1. Buckle the center passenger position safety belt, then
route the safety belts through the proper slots in the
seat cushion. Don't let the safety belts get twisted.
2. Slide the rear of the cushion up and under the
seatback so the rear - locating guides hook into the
wire loops on the back frame.
3. With the seat cushion lowered, push rearward and
then press down on the seat cushion until the spring
locks on both ends engage.
4. Check to make sure the safety belts are properly
routed and that no portion of any safety belt is
trapped under the seat. Also make sure the seat
cushion is secured.

Notice:
The battery and main fuse blocks are located
under the rear seat cushion. The battery's ground
terminal and some relay wires are exposed.
To help avoid damage to the battery and wires,
be careful when removing or reinstalling the seat
cushion. Do not remove covers from covered
parts. Do not store anything under the seat, as
objects could touch exposed wires and cause
a short.

Are the rear seats properly locked into their catches? This can stop the belts working.

Hi,My Estima failed a wof because the rear seat belts dont lock when you pull them,Yet I took one out and they work fine when you tip them.Any clues? thanks

Seat belts don't lock when you pull the belt out. They only lock when there is a change of motion of the vehicle. The mechanisk is set by a ball bearing that runs in a sauce shape cup. When stationmary the ball is at the lowest point and so the top plate is allowing the reel ratchet to turn freely. That is why when you get in the seat you can pull the belt easily to clip it up. However when you are moving and brake suddenly the ball runs to the edge of the cup and pushes the plate that engages a pall that locks the belt and restrains you in the seat. The same applies if you corner hard or roll over. When you removed the unit and it worked perfectly that is because you became the car ,moving and stopping ( when you tilted the reel and pulled the belt

Rear seatbelt stuck behind head rest in locked position

haha we know you didnt do it on purpose, without seeing your problem and the hard to describe issue, i can only recommend to maybe try folding the seat to the cargo position, if that helps. if not, then you will more than likely need to disassemble the rear quarter panel, and unbolt the seat belt retractor from the body of the vehicle. sorry but there is no other way

Push and roll the seat belts all the way back into the container and then slowly pull them out.
If you do it fast they will lock.

My rear seatbelt in my subaru outback is locked and wont pull out to buckle up. Can it be fixed

I assume you've already worked the seat belt end back and forth with force. Did the belt move at all? Did you remove the rear seat bottom cusion from the car? That will give you additional leverage on the belt.
If the belt twisted the last time it was used and then rolled up, you need to go to the dealer or an upholstery shop for help.

The third row seat is stuck in the collapsed position and I have no access to the strap you're supposed to pull on (it's under the seat). Anyone know how to open it?

I had to take it to the dealer to get it 'unstuck' and they ended up bending the frame of the backseat! If you can get into the spot where it locks into the trunk frame you can unlock it yourself, but you need a second person to hold the seat back form the trunk frame so you can POSSIBLY squeeze your hand or a tool in there to do it. Its VERY DIFFICULT! Hope that made sense...lol
