My '99 Tiburon is overheating quite frequently. Coolant is full, but when idling it overheats 3 out of 5 times.. All answers are must appreciated, thanks.

This could be very simple check your coolant if it's full pull hoses by squeezing them if its real steff you have a blocked line

Coolant leaks,When the intake manifold gasket cracks or blows out, coolant will leak out of the intake manifold. You may see puddles underneath your car or notice smoke or steam coming off of the engine and exhaust from the coolant dripping onto it and then burning.Overheating, If the intake manifold gasket fails and allows coolant to leak out into the engine, your car will begin to overheat. If your car frequently runs low on coolant or begins to overheat, check the intake manifold gasket.Running poorly, When the intake manifold gasket falters, it affects the way the motor handles its emission gases. The change in pressure can affect the vacuum in the intake as well as how smoothly your car runs. Mainly, it will idle roughly and may hesitate, cough or sputter.

Head blown from belt coming off and overheating, bad thermostat maybe.
Fans checked so their good
Coolant full so that crosses out water pump
Maybe the belt hit something when it broke

CAR OVERHEATING FIRST CHECK FOR LOW COOLANT IN THE RADIATOR COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG.IF COOLANT LEVEL IN OVERFLOW JUG LOW REFILL ADD COOLANT BACK TO THE FULL COLD MARK.PUT RADAITOR CAP ON COOLANT OVERFLOW JUG START ENGINE LET IT IDLE UNTIL IT OPERATING TEMPERATURE.MAKE SURE TOP RADIATOR HOSE GETTING HOT WHILE ENGINE WARM UP.IF TOP RADIATOR HOSE DONT GET HOT WHILE ENGINE IDLING YOUR THERMOSTAT COULD BE STUCK CLOSE CAUSING CAR TO OVERHEAT.IF TOP HOSE IS GETTING HOT.CHECK FOR COOLANT LEAKS CHECK TOP RADIATOR HOSE AND BOTTOM RADIATOR HOSE FOR LEAKS.CHECK FOR LEAKS AT THE RADIATOR CORES AND PLASTIC SIDE CONTAINERS.IF ALL IS GOOD ENGINE OVERHEATING WHILE IN A LONG TRAFFIC LINE, COOLANT FANS NOT COMING ON.COULD HAVE FAULTY ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR OR BLOWN COOLING FAN FUSE OR RELAY.COULD HAVE PCM FAULT.MAKE COOLING FAN ELECTRICAL CONNECTORS AND WIRING NOT DAMAGE OR BROKEN.

i have a grand voyager 1999 and it temputure is running on the 3quater mark on the gauge is this right....

Only 2 parts remaining are the thermostat and waterpump. Always start with the thermostat when diagnosing an overheating problem. If the car is overheating constantly under all conditions and coolant is backing up into the reservoir, it's very likely to be the thermostat. If it only overheats at low speed or idling, it's more likely the waterpump.

COULD BE COOLANT SENSOR,HEAD GASKET,CHECK THE TIMING,THE PROPER MIXTURE OF COOLANT,WATER PUMP.DID YOU HAVE IT CHECKED OUT?ANY LEAKS?HEAT WORK WITH FAN?
