Question about 2001 Hyundai Santa Fe

1 Answer

How do i fix the hatchback door latch on a 2001 hyundai santa fe? The handle seems to work ok, but when we press the latch trigger, it just softly depresses and will not reset. And the door doesn't budge. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Nope, its not locked. We made sure of that. It feels like the cable attached to the trigger broke or came off. How hard is that to fix?

My son played with the latch on the passenger door and now it doesn't want to latch and close.

the latch is probly closed all you have to do is with the door open and unlocked pull the door handle like your opening the door and take a screw driver or anything that is about the size of a pencil and pull the latch open. To find out what I am talking about open the drivers door and compair the latching mechanism.
