SOURCE: Idle Problem

man it's normal that when u turn on the A/C then the idle will drop and but it will turn off cause the A/C load and the other accesories consume higher power than the power from idle so u need to less the load applied on the engine by turning off any auxiliary electronics when u want to use the A/C like xenon lights but if u only turn hte A/C and u have this problem then u need to increase the idle to prevent turning off of the engine

SOURCE: what is the rocker arm torque (ft/lbs.) for a 1995

OK here you go. there are three different engine codes for that model and engine size. first is the D15Z1. This one is 14ft.lbs. Then you have D15B7 and D15B8 these two are the same at 16ft.lbs.

SOURCE: 1994 honda civic 1.5 16v stalling after pressing accelerator from idle

Another place to look is your IAC, or Idle air control valve. It is bolted to the back of the intake manifold, and can be removed and cleaned. It is usually the cause of most Honda Idle problems.

Car will idle but cut out when accelerator is depressed

FROM THE INFORMATION PROVIDED , IT APPEARS TO BE A FUEL SYSTEM PROBLEM . MY REASON FOR SAYING SO IS , WHEN THA ACCELERATOR PEDAL IS DEPRESSED , THE FUEL SYSTEM HAS COMPONENTS TO ENRICHEN THE AIR FUEL MIXTURE TO COMPENSATE FOR THE ADDITIONAL AIR THAT WOULD BE COMING IN AND CAUSING THE MIXTURE TO BECOME LEAN . IF YOUR CAR HAS A CARBURETTOR CHECK THE ACCELERATOR PLUNGER OR THROTTLE POSITION SENSOR, MAP SENSOR IF FUEL INJECTED .

My 95 Honda Civic starts fine and idles ok, but when I get ready to go the car almost dies out, then goes really slow like it is getting no gas. But after a few feet the car takes off like normal. what is...

This sounds like a bad TPS (trottle position sensor). When you step on the accelerator the TPS tells the computer you want to accelerate, and the computer then increases the fuel duration of the injectors. With out that signal the computer is getting additional info from the increased airflow into the engine, so it then increases the fuel to the engine, but you are getting a hesitation, due to the delay in the increase of fuel to the engine. Hope this helps and good luck :O)

I have a 93 honda del sol manual when the car has been turned on it accelerates by itself and it has a check engine light dont now what is wrong with it

You probably have a bad Idle Air Control Valve (IACV). In fuel injected carburetors when the throttle valve is closed the IACV opens and closes to control the idle speed. If it malfunctions the engine may rev up allowing the car if in gear to accelerate on its own . When I had a bad IACV in my Mitsubishi Lancer it would drive down the road at 50 mph with out touching the gas pedal. Fortunately, it could be slowed down by using the brakes (unlike the Toyota stories).

1995 GMC Safari Loses Power when accelerating hard, rough idle

Do you have a check engine light on? Is this a 4.3 with central port injection? If it's running real rich it might have a fuel leak inside the intake, either a fuel pressure regulator leaking or a feed line to the injector.

1997 honda civic 1.6 revving up and down

well there could be couple problems happened to mine only cuz the troddle position sensor wasn't working properly. so while idling the rpms would go up and down then sometime shut off eventually. but when you mean rev up and down you mean idling irregular? if so your timing belt and or pulley's worn fuel pump not delievering enuff fuel to fuel injection system, leaking egr valve, or even the air filter clogged.

1995 suzuki sidekick 16 valve

Check throtle position sensor... one section closes a set of contacts when you take your foot off the accelerator... this is sent back to the engine control computer which adjust the timing to insure the engine stays @ ~ 800 rpm. It's easy to set with just a simple multimeter...
