My 2003 envoy xl w/auto climate control has developed an intermittent fan problem ! Kind of works when it wants to . Can turn it off and on several times and it will sometimes start.Very erratic.Compressor and air duct doors etc. all work normally ! Could it be a relay or control module ? If so where is it and where can I buy one ? Thanks for any info/help in advance !

Very common problem. It's your blower motor resistor up under the dash behind the glove box mounted to bottom of blower motor. Do yourself a favor and replace the resistor and the pigtail that goes into it. Common for both to melt.

Could be the blower motor going bad.or a wire not getting good contact.

SOURCE: gmc Envoy with erratic fuel gauge.

I have found that just about 100% of the time this condition is caused by a defective fuel gauge sending unit in the gas tank.

SOURCE: 2003 GMC Yukon XL Denali Service Ride control info

leaking suspension air bags is the most common cause, but the system can be tested for trouble codes, I suggest u do so, only the dealer can do this, but guessing about what the problem is can get very expensive very fast.

SOURCE: climate control does not work on my Mercedes ML 320 suv

check the following. #1, it could be the flap soliniods. This is located behind the dash on the heater box. This operates the flpas to regulate hot and cold air. The clicking sound could meen that it's trying to operate but can not due to a dying motor. You need to check which one is faulty. from memory there is about 4 or 5. #2. Behind the a/c fan speed control there is small plug. Sometimes this can be left unplugged if someone has worked on the car. e.g installing a new Radio/cd player etc.
good luck.

SOURCE: How do you fix the driver side air blend door actuator?

you cannot repair the actuator you need to replace it with new one. These motors turn but get weak with time. if you test it, it works, put it in and it doesn't. this is because the motor is weak, unfortunately GM does not sell these motors separately.

Why does my high speed #5 not work on my climate control on my 2003 GMC Envoy

The hi speed is controlled by the fan relay located in the under hood fuse block. It isn't working.

I have a 2006 Buick Ranier. The A/C fan will run

Yes, depending on if you have manual controls (Blower Motor Resistor) or automatic climate control ( Blower Motor Control Module), basically looks the same. Located on bottom of fan motor behind the glovebox. Need to remove plastic kick guard on bottom and look up. It's right there attached at bottom with 2 small screws. Must drop the glovebox door also, just release it down to get to the connectors into the blower itself.

2003 GMC Yukon XL blower fan intermittently doesnt turn on

Could be the blower motor, the resistor, or the control on the dash.
You'll need to check the circuit for voltage when it fails to work.

I have a 2003 Envoy XL, 116K miles. Yesterday as I was driving I noticed that the AC blower speed was not changing as I pressed the buttons to change speed. If you shut the entire climate control unit off,...

You need to replace the BLOWER MOTOR CONTROL MODULE. its up under the dash, near the blower motor. Your dealer or a AC DELCO parts house will have it in stock, very common problem.

The rear climate control/radio does not work in my 2003 envoy

Check your owner's manual for a fuse box diagram and check the appropriate fuses. This may also be a high amp fuse that is in the fuse box under the hood. Please rate this answer, thanks.

2003 Envoy intermittent display, radio, ac control, shift, comp.

This sounds like your alternator maybe going bad. When your alternator starts to go bad lights such as headlights, radio lights will go dim wipers will start to move slower but if you cut one of the things off such as the wipers the lights will get brighter for a few minutes then not long the car will shut completely down. Hope this helps.

Digital ac controls don't respond and fan stays on whencar is off

The way to fix this is by changing the blower motor resistor.
I paid $138.00 at the dealership for a new one and it solved the problem.

Rear climate control

check and see if your rear control is working for the radio, if not: that could be your problem. All of the power for the rear of the envoy is controlled by this module.
