Make sure it has compression as when the cam belt failed it could have bent the valves.
Remove spark plugs and use a compression tester. If you don't ahve access to a compression tester... leave only 1 spark plug in place and try to start it. You should hear a distinct off beat sound of one compression per 2 revolutions. If you don't then it's a compression problem. It's best to confirm low compression with a tester before you go any further.
If this is the case you will need to replace the valves or a fit a good used cylinder head with new gaskets

check your fuses & your relays, and the NO SPARK, CHECK your coil, but first one thing @ time, chk your fuses, etc

I CAN tell you that just cleaning out the plug wells is a good idea so no crud gets in the cylinders when plug is pulled. The center piece you speak of is not understood. As for the gasket sealer, yes, it's a good idea to use Black RTV on the head surface after cleaning and to stick the gasket to the valve cover.

If you are sure of spark and fuel, you should do a compression test. Possible timing problem. (Timing belt or chain)

The symptoms on this point directly to the Blower Motor Resistor located near the Blower Motor. When these Resistors fail, the motor will only operate on High (and Off).

okay, here a wiring diagram, im sorry its not in color, but it may help, all the wires are labeled with what there colors are. good luck,

Start with testing the injectors for pulse. Get a NOID light they sell the at almost any auto parts store remove in get plug from injector and plug the noid light into plug look for constant steady (pulse)lighting of noid light. Check all six injector on your strait 6. If all is good remove parke plug wire on at a time from cap and look for increased shaking and less when it replaced(Make sure to use wire puller with rubber insulation to avoid being zapped by spark from coil) Note cylinder with no difference or change when wire is removed. Those would be the problem cylinders. Then get a compression guage and check all cylinders for compression by removing spark plugs and attaching guage to each cylinders, make a not of each cylinder's reading. NOTE THEY SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 10 PSI difference in cylinders. Make note of low compression cylinders if any. If compression is good all around spark plugs are good, good ignition wires and you have good pulse pattern from you noid light. The only other problem is BAD INJECTORS and those would be the ones that didn't change when you took off the wires. I have work on these old cressida alot my self.
