To quick test this to determine if the power window switch is working, keep the door open and watch the interior light carefully, press the window switch up and see if the interior light slightly flickers, if so the switch is making the trip to the power window regulator and the regulator needs to be replaced, however more times then none the power window switch is the culprit.
There is really and unfortunately no quick fix, except for a hopeful hammer blow to the side of the power window regulator motor.
No i am not kidding, as unprofessional as it may sound, if the switch is good and the problem is within the power regulator motor, a sharp, swift, but not too hard blow to the power window regulator can sometimes wake up the motor(possibly rust formation etc. from rain and dampness) and a good spraying of WD 40, however, if this doesnot work you will need to order the appropriate part from Auto Zone or the like , also when you have the door panel off check the supply wiring harness coming through the door near the front body hinges for any breaks etc.(usually encapsulated in a rubber conduit) and also inspect for any loose or broken connections to the circuitry inside the door.
Happy Motoring!!
Sorry I wanted to add to the quick fix category that if the window switch is the culprit and you are not near a parts store to swap it out, pull the switch and with a test light determine which connector is the power feed, then determine which connector is for the power up, with a jumper wire simply jump the two and this should at least close your window till you get to a parts store for a replacement switch, don't be surprisede if you have to purchase the whole drivers side power window station as some are one piece.
