Under your dash there is a small lever with a handle and marking. pull this for ejecting the bonnet. use your palm to push off the safety lack that hold the bonnet- safety for holding on during high speed/ wind if the bonnet lack opens- to lift up your boonet. You can look through the gap of the bonnet to see this safety latch.
now on top of the engine you will see the cap for the oil inlet.
Now beffore you do that , use the dip stick to look for the oil level. wipe it and check again. Only if the oil is down you need to replace. Also topping is not required unless the engine is old/bad. otherwise it is important to change the oil filter and oil along with your service. So check this out. Good day

Hyundai i10 Steering not rotating. It seems to be locked. Pls help. The wheels were tilted to other end so, I tried to straighten by turning the steering even before starting the engine. But when I start...

Faulty Steering?
It was not until later in the day as I check the Internet for "hyundai i10" "steering locking" that I started to worry once again. I found reviews and comments mentioning that the i10 had problems with its power steering system which sometimes caused locking while the car was in motion! This post about hyundai i10 steering locking is what really caused me to get worried again. I still puzzled a bit and not sure if that was the same case as mine as in my case the locking took place while the car was at a stand still and turned off. I'll try to follow up on this carefully to see where it goes. Perhaps I should mention this issue to the agency as they service my car after the first 1000 miles (or first month of driving it).
Update: After describing the problem on an Arabic cars forum I learned that nothing was wrong with my i10. The steering locking was normal since I tried to move the steering too much while the car was turned off. As for the key not turning in with ease, the reason was that I must have moved the steering slightly after inserting the key and before turning the key. This is the method used for turning the key whenever the steering has locked. Man, I just love those forums and i LOVE the Internet.

Why is my hyundai i10 supplying too much fuel to the engine

Is this a diffrent type of pump then the factory pump? if so then that may be your problem and the fuel pressure is to high, or a bad fuel pressure regulator . A scan tool would be helpful to check the air fuel sensor readings along with the short term and long term fuel readings.

White smoke coming from engine compartment, what would cause this?

first check the coolant temperature of your engine,if is high the it is a coolant leakage. Stop the car let it cool down and then open the bonnet and check for the cause or the part that it is leaking. If it is not water coolant ,then check whether is oil leak and be careful when is hot to do not open immediately the bonnet as there is also a risk for catch fire. even using the car with the oil leak as well. Any of the two faults you should contact an expert garage and arrange for the necessary repair.
