Oil filters aren't expensive so if there is doubt about which to buy why not buy both sale or return.

Hello chesito: My name is Roger and I will help you. The transmission should hold 305 us.qts of oil if changing the fluid and filter. If you are installing a rebuilt transmission that is completely empty than it will use 8 us.qts of oil. The specs for the fluid type is Dextron 2 transmission oil. 5th gear synchronizer warn faulty damaged or dry. if you can check the level of the oil in the gearbox to see if its at it top. ( dun by adding more oil) if it overflows straight away then its full and not the problem.
automatic, it can be a sensor fault either getting wrong signal from abs or the engine rev counter, or again low level of oil in auto box.

The oil filter will be at the very bottom end of the engine, usually brightly colored. It will be just forward from the sump and is a screw on fitment.

Take the car to another garage and get your money back from the one who could not find it.

Need more information. Could be thin oil, switch going bad, etc.
An inexpensive after market oil gauge would be worth it.
Costs less then $20 at Harbor Freight.
The sending unit is usually near the filter.

Its 3 1/2 Quarts, but you might as well put a full 4 quarts in if it goes through that much. make sure you change the filter aswell! dirty oil will not cause your engine to go through it any faster. Is the oil leaking or is the engine burning it?
