I just put read brake pads on a 1997 Cadillac Deville and the abs and traction lock lights are on now. Do they need to be reset (how?) or what did I do that caused this?

It shouldn't need reset. Check to see if one of the rear abs sensors got unplugged when you were changing your pads.

Why does my ABS light stays on and sometimes i get a vibration in the brake petal causing my 2002 Cadillac escalade not wanting to stop?

The light being on means the system has detected a problem in one or more sensors. The vibration is the ABS modulating the brakes to prevent skidding because it has detected a wheel that is locked up. That wheel is most likely the one sensor that is giving you the error.

I just changed my tranny on my 1997 DeVille and now the traction light and ABS come on. When that happens, the traction and ABS don't seem to work but the brakes work normally. If I stop the engine and...

There is a good possibility that this may not be a transmission related issue but a bearing hub assembly which may be going bad. The abs sensor is contained the with in the wheel bearing. They may be able to put a scan tool on it and let you know what codes are disabling the abs and traction control but quite possibly just a bad wheel bearing.

After I changed the brake pads and brake caliper on a 1998 Cadillac Deville the Traction Control and the ABS light came on.

Hi and welcome to FixYa!

This is normal after replacing the brake pads. You can take it to any shop that has a device to erase the log on the dash. This is computer related and needs to be removed by a scan tool.

Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa!

Traction control and anti-locks(ABS) lights come on.

Traction control and anti-locks(ABS) lights come on there is sensors that are pluged in behind the rotors check and see if they are disconected or loose sometimes when you change your brake pads they might come loose and not making contact.

My anti lock brake and traction control light came

Could have a ABS wheel speed sensor going bad, once this happens will disable the ABS and the trac control. Have it scanned and find out which sensor is bad. Small possibility of ABS module failure, but not as likely.
