My dvd player and cd player won't work. The dvd just flashes error and the cd player won't accept a cd. The radio still works, but the speakers to the back of the van won't turn on. Maybe because of the dvd player fouling up?
Hi
this may because of the follwoing
1DVD flashing Error- this may you might have put a wrong format DVD which is not supported by the player. try with the formatt which is been supported by the player.if it plays then the problem is with the DVD previously you have put.
2.CD player wont accept CD- this may be because there is a belt driven by a motor which draws the cd inside the player. may be the belt might have been damaged or the motor not working. so please service the player it will be working properly.
3.radio works because the radio is not been connected to the belt driven motor.
4.Speaker doent work-
this may be because the wire connecting the speakers may be damaged
the socket trough which the speakers are connected may be damaged so replace the socket and try it.

just found out my toddler has been feeding the dvd player. Since it is stuck in "error" mode, the speakers wont work in the rear of the van. As for the cd, apparently there is some connection to the error message on the dvd and the working of the cd player. Thank goodness the radio still works, but this is a job for a mechanic. Probably cost me 200 or so to get it fixed. Thanks for all the solutions.

Yes , I think your are somewhat right. It is possible that your DVD has encountered some fault which issues the error. You will need to remove the player and take it out. check if the mecchanism is half stuck or if any action of the drive is mid way resulting in the mode not ccoming to the final rest. This is giving the faulty of the error. see all the link drives, the loading mechanism . use a head cleaner to wipe the optical head. if the cd does not load check on the main board for supply failure of the main drive. since the dvd is not acting you have the amp cutting off the rear/surrround. The error can be even an electronic one. check for the failure of the drive IC . failure in the sub power. Hope this helps.Good day.
No,you may have to adjust the fader controls to get rear speakers.they may not be connected.soundslike you want a new unit
