Hello,

Try this: Put the clutch in and push and hold the gas pedal to the floor while trying to start the vehicle. If it starts good chances it's the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS).

I hope this helps.

But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

My 1996 Mitsubishi legnum does not start when it is hot but starts sweet when its cold we have replaced the solenoid with a new one so that not the problem the car wants to start when we turn the key

Coil, the plug to the coil has corrosion. Next time it doesn't start, check the plugs for spark. No spark. Look at the plug for the coil first, clean it if necessary. Or replace the coil. On rare occasions I have seen the crank sensor do this also. But not likely your problem.

run the fault codes and check for cam./crank position sensor check that the camshaft is turning ( broken timing belt) Have the CPU reset using a coder reader as the security program may be corrupted from the dead battery

I have a 97 white mercury mountaineer. My battery is in great condition, but my truck won't start. It's cranks, but won't start. Can anyone tell me what's the problems?

if engine turn over wont start could have worn spark plugs and wires.could have faulty ignition coil or module.could have faulty crankshaft sensor or camshaft sensor.if vechicle getting spark could need replace fuel filter check fuel pressure.to save time guessing spending too much money have vechicle code scan first before buying new parts.

It turns but it wont start,it has gas and power

Pull off the coil ignition cable at the distributor and check for spark coming out of coil when cranking engine over. Use a heavy rag or glove to hold the wire 1/4 inch from a metal ground. Should see a strong blue spark when cranking to verify ignition is good. If no spark, check for battery voltage to coil on the coil primary. If you have current to the coil, suspect a bad coil, ignition module, crank position sensor, or cam position sensor, or pcm. The coil, ignition module, and sensors can be tested before replacing.

1998 cavalier wont start no spark

If you have no spark try the ignition module, it controls the spark and if you don't have any and the coil is new its the only other option short of wiring or ecu!!

I have a 1995 dodge van which wont start due to no spark I have tested right at the coils sec. I do have injector pulse but no pulse at ign coils primary there is power at primary of coil at first we...

A test light connected across the coil primary leads should flash on + off when engine cranks(coil sparks when 12v turned OFF due to collapse of magnetic field). If you get pulsed 12 volts, and no spark from the coil, the coil is bad.If you don't get the pulsed 12 volts, trace back to find out why(the PCM turns the coil ground on and off,12 volts comes from switched IGN source)
