How do I remove the passenger door panel on a 2007 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD LT Crew cab? The actual problem is when you open the passenger door you hear a loud cracking sound and it looks like the middle door hinge(do not think it is a hinge but do not know what to call it) pops or cracks when opening or clossing the door. I am trying to remove the door panel so I can look, see and possibly replace the part.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
What your hearing is the door stop which needs some lube. You should be able to accomplish this from the out side using grease or white lithium. The mechanism in the middle of the two hinges is the door stop and keeps the door from opening to far.
