Yes you can! get an r134a hose and 2 or 3 cans of r134a refrigerant. Find the low side port which has a black or blue cap on it (unless it got thrown away) and use the 'quick connector' while the can is screwed on to the other side of the hose.

You can get a recharge kit for maybe $35 at walmart, which has 1 can of freon which might be all you need to get the cold back into your a/c system.

Make sure that the compressor turns and spins with the belt, and also that the fan turns on at the radiator when you put the a/c on high fan and the coolest setting.

The pressure should range anywhere from 25 to 45 psi when you do this procedure, and if the compressor is not turning the pressure should be 75 to 100 psi on a hot day.

Hope this helps!

2001 PONTIAC GRAND AM SE, WON'T CRANK,RAN MY GAS LOW

Sounds like air in fuel line. Purge fuel line. By "crank", do you mean engine spins but won't catch? Try starter fluid in intake.

Air conditioning problem

Sounds like a faulty switch or disconnected wires to the switch for those settings.
