2004 santa fe 2.7L v6 AWD. There is a squeeling noise coming from the belt area. Never there when in motion, only when at a stop, idle, or in park. Sometimes its there, sometimes its not. All I know is its coming from the belt area. Could it be a loose belt, pulley, or something internal? All fluids are up to date. Also when the sound its there, its in sync with the RPM timing. Like as if something is on the belt hitting something and its only in one spot. Hard to describe. All I know is it gets loud at times that I get the stares from fellow drivers
It's a loose belt for sure.
If you have a spring loaded tensioner, and the belt has stretched with time, the tensioner will reach the limits of its travel without tensioning the belt enough to prevent that squeal.
If it has an adjustable tensioner, tighten the belt up.

2004 hyundai santa fe with 104000 miles on it is hard to start after sitting for some time it cranks, if I turn the key to the on pos and whate a few seconds then all the way she starts
Probably a pulley, alternator, ac compressor. you will need a stethoscope or a piece of rubber hose to listen to everything in the belt area. noise can travel, so be careful. more than one experienced tech has replaced a noisy part only to find out it was not the one making the noise. every tech but me. yeah right.
