Spoiler Problem When I first start the engine, I have full manual control of the spoiler. As soon as the car starts moving, the spoiler rises and flashes the error light on the control switch. I cannot lower the spoiler until I stop and recycle the ignition switch. The problem seems to have originated as I was slowing from freeway speed on an off ramp (at which time the spoiler should have lowered automatically).

SOURCE: crossfire spoiler and electric roof dont work

I have a crossfire and this has happened to me. When it has I have found that the divider, (for the lack of a better word) that is in the truck is not properly seated. Check to be sure it is all the way into the slot that it fits in, especially on the left side. When it is seated correctly the top will go down. Hope this helps.

Why is there a spoiler pipe.... Or do you mean exhaust pipe... If you mean exhaust pipe then that means that your engine is in desperate need of new seals or it is blown.. Either way its a pain to fix :'(

Spoiler on 964 is stuck in up position. Replaced switch in engine lid. Did not fix the problem. Checked the fuse. It's fine. Lubed the master gear. No effect. What else should I check or replace?

depending on the type there is a motor or magnetic pin system. motors can fail and the magnetic pin type well they can rust up or even the grease in them can freeze up and stop movement. also on some models there is a auto mode this will activate the spoiler at certain speeds. these are prone for failure, for some reason they stop reading the speedo , then in auto or in manual it will not work. also in cold weather you should have it turn'd off... this is recommended from porsche something about only use in above temps of 6.0c 42.8F is minimum low temp. the temp sensor on some turn off the spoiler controls at this speed or a faulty temp sensor not reading the right temp will do this.

964, rear spoiler won't work

Start by checking remote switch. Test to see if there is power at the spoiler motor. If there is power getting to the motor check for bad ground. Finally remove the cable that drives the spoiler up and down and apply 12v dc to the motor. If the motor turns check to see if you can turn the cable without the motor and that the spoiler moves. I all power checks out and the spoiler won't move by turning the cable, the gearing that the cable attaches to is most likely damaged.

How do you replace the brake light on the rear spoiler on a 2001 Hyundai Accent?

This is the Spoiler Dude. The spoiler light is attached with screws to the spoiler. You must remove the screws and then the spoiler light will come away from the spoiler. Clip the two wires ( Black & Red ). Attached the new spoiler light ( I can get that for you) with a sleeve. Test the new light with the brake pedal depressed. Screw in the new light and that is it. If you have any questions.

Can't get the spoiler, that holds the 3rd brake light on the off

regarding chevy equinox spoiler there are three 10mm bolts one on each end and one in the middle then there are three pins in the middle that snap in. these are very difficult to release without breaking them. If they break use a two part adhesive sparingly to hold the spoiler down or it will hit when you open the hatch.

Rear spoiler does not work.

The rear spoiler is controlled by a Rear Spoiler Control Module. Fuse 35 (30A) and Fuse 5 (7.5A) located in the fuse panel behind left side of dash provide power to the control module. After ensuring that the fuses are good, I would toggle the Rear Spoiler Switch to see if the servo-motor works properly. It is located under the steering wheel underneath the flat part of the dash.
