Like reference guide, check this procedure to Removal & Installation / Door Lock Motor...

The door lock motor is integral with the door latch. If the door lock motor is found to be defective, the entire door latch must be replaced.

  1. Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the Precautions Section.
  2. Roll the door glass down.
  3. Disengage the 2 clips attaching the speaker grille to the door trim panel. (They are at the front of the grille, one near the top, and the other one at the bottom).
  4. Remove the 3 large washer-headed screws surrounding the speaker.

SOURCE: How do I remove inside door panel with electric

Hello, I can help you with this.
Look toward the front bottom and remove that screw, then there is one at the armrest. With power windows, use a small screwdriver and carefully pry up on the switch assembly and unplug the connectors. remove that triangle shaped plastic piece at the top of the door trim, it just comes straight out, ( use a small screwdriver or putty knife to gently pry it out from the edge ) , once you are sure you have found all the screws, start at the bottom of the panel and pry it out, when the fasteners are out lift the panel up.

Electrical mechanism will not unlock front passenger door nor can it be unlocked manually at door handle. Inside door handle will not move so door cannot be opened. Consequently, cannot remove inner door...

possibly your linkage from the electric solenoid and door lock to the locking mechanism has either fallen apart inside the door or also possibly it has gotten "over-center" and cannot operate properly from either the automatic electric or manually from the key, can you hear and click from the solenoid when you operate this electrically? and see lock button move a little, this would be a sign it's over-center.

I have a 1993 Ford Tempo and am having problems removing the motor from the door. I already have the door panel removed and the power disconnected from the motor.

remove the door panel and check to make sure the linkage to the lock assembly is still attached. I can't give an estimate because I don't know what is wrong at this point

are the locks manual or electric?i have seen most electric locks freeze up because of rust/.corrosion.the rubber accordian seal fails and moisture does it's job.there is no lubrication on the mechanism.it's basically a push pull magnet tube with a spiral grooved actuator rod.this is to assure no accidental vibration/jar induced movement.also means very difficult to budge when corroded.i have gotten a few to move by grabbing lock post with pliers and pulling hard.good luck!

95 blazer, front driver window motor broken need to get window up

When removing the door panel, you need to remove all of the screws first. Then pull the door panel off. There should be screws around the edges or the door panel, and 1-2 screw on the door handle(on the inside). Then pop the door panel off, if the blazer has electric windows and locks you have to disconect them first, if it doesnt have power locks and windows, you have to take the window crank off, there should be a screw in the center of that. Unscrew the door lock and pull up. If it doesnt have them locks then you have to disconect it from inside the door panel

Ford Escort 1998 central locking

Are you talking about the key cylinder or the electric lock button? If you are talking about the key,you need to remove the door panel and watch the lock rod move up and down. There is a plastic clip that pops open or breaks from age. If you are talking about the electric lock, will the passenger door lock move when you press the lock button on the drivers door? Does the passenger door make a grunt noise when trying to lock/unlock?
