When the motor is hot it will not start. after it has cooled (8hours) it will strart and run fine. The ignition module tested OK, the coils tested OK. I?m at a loss on this one.

When the ignition module was tested, they most likely did not run it and then test it,when the ignition module does this,it will check good, until it is heated up,with the run mode setting on the tester,so have them do this when they test it,but,it is most likely the problem,if not,the crankshaft sensor is the next likely problem. If this was helpful, please rate, thank you.

Hi, going mad! My Kia Sedona starts ok when cold most of the time,as soon as you turn it off when hot cam belt by Kia and pump ..easy strart used next injectors / rail etc.?Thanks Lee uk car

If it's not starting when hot. Look at the coil/s, ignition module. check for spark the next time it happens. Crank sensors usually work or not. Been a couple times I have seen them cause this problem. If it doesn't crank when hot, this is the starter.

05 vstar 1100 when hot starts to miss and when come to stop stalls acts like flooded till cools ...starts and can go a block if lucky???

Many electrical items can fail as they get hot. Most common are coils and ignition modules, but crank and cam sensors do this also. Hard to test because they cool before you can run tests=must be tested quickly when they fail.

My1994 toyota tercel stalls when warm

Could be bad electrical part failing as it gets hot. Coils, ignition modules, crank/cam sensors all can do this. Quite common. Check if you have spark to plugs when it fails. If not, start testing parts. Problem is, they will cool and then test ok so this can be hard to find. Start with ignition module which parts stores often test for free. Run test several times to heat the unit up.

1987 f 150 6 cyl starts and runs till hot then wont till cooled off

Probably a bad ignition coil or a bad TFI module (the ignition control module). Much testing could be done to find the faulty part, but I believe if you take the TFI module to a parts store, it could be tested.

Will run fine for about 4 mile then start missing and then stop running, aftre letting set for about an hour it will start and run for about another four or five minutes and then quit. acts like it does...

I recently had about the same problem with my c1500. You have a tach watch tach if needle jumps your problem is electical. Test coil, distributor pick-up coil and ignition control module. This time mine was the pick-up coil which requires distributer removal. Both coils can be tested by an Ohmn meter, the module must be removed and tested by auto parts store. All three can cause this problem. As they get hot they short out when they cool they work fine. If you pull the distributer cap look at the wires for the pick-up coil mine were cracked from age, which caused shorting while driving and then it would die. when cooled it would crank.
