Automatic Locking Hub

and NON-serviceable.

so do that , buy a new hub and put it back
the same way, using the tool stated
at the stated ranges of torque
123-180 ft/lbs.
this range allows you to get the screws into the locking rings.

Service engine soon light is on and service vehicle sonn light is on just replaced a wheel bearing in right front tire they came on and cant get them off tried everything

Wheel bearings are in hubs and not tyres and that has nothing to do with engine service lights.. So I will try to guess what you are asking. IF you have a front wheel drive vehicle and you cannot get the hub off the drive axle it will be because the drive splines are seized in the hub ( rust) or the bearings are tight in the shaft. You may need a puller to push the axle back out of the hub to get it free of the axle . You can then remove the bearings from the hub. As to the service light problem ---complete a service as required and then reset the light using a code reader to reset the CPU.. IT may be advisable to get a workshop manual as it will explain what you want to know.

How do i pull the hub off my 2002 mazda , on drivers side front

REMOVAL & INSTALLATION Except Miata FRONT

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Steering knuckle from the vehicle
- Inner oil seal from the knuckle
Using Mazda Hub Puller tools 49 G033 102, 49 G033 104 and 49 G033 105, pull the front wheel hub from the knuckle assembly.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Bearing inner race from the front wheel hub
- Retaining ring from within the knuckle
- Front wheel bearing from the knuckle, using the hub puller tools
- Brake dust shield
Clean and inspect all parts but do not wash or clean the wheel bearing. The bearing must be replaced. To install:
Using Mazda Press tools 49 G033 107 and 49 H026 103, install a new dust shield cover assembly to the knuckle.
Using the press tools, press a new wheel bearing into the knuckle assembly.
Install or connect the following:
- Wheel bearing retaining ring
- New oil seal using Installation tool 49 V001 795
- Front wheel hub using the Mazda press tools

REAR

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section. NOTE: The wheel bearings are not serviceable. If the bearings are bad, a new hub/bearing assembly must be installed.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Rear wheels Fig. 1: Exploded view of the rear wheel hub and bearing assembly (disc brake model shown, drum is similar)
- Brake drum, if equipped
- Rear caliper and rotor assembly from the hub, if equipped
- Hub dust cover
Raise the staked portion of the hub retaining nut with a hammer and chisel.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Hub retaining nut and discard it
- Hub and bearing assembly from the spindle Fig. 2: When installing the new hub nut, be sure to stake it into the notch on the spindle
To install:
Install or connect the following:
- Bearing assembly on the spindle. Torque the new nut to 131-173 ft. lbs. (177-235 Nm)
- Stake the nut into the groove in the spindle
- Dust cover
- Assemble the brakes
- Rear wheel

Removal & Installation Front To Remove:
The front wheel bearings are not serviced separately. If the front wheel bearings are defective, the hub and bearing assembly must be replaced.

Before servicing the vehicle, refer to the precautions in the beginning of this section.
Lubricate the threads on the halfshaft with clean engine oil.
Remove or disconnect the following:
- Front wheels
- Halfshaft hub nut
- Caliper from the steering knuckle WARNING
  DO NOT allow the brake hose to support the weight of the caliper.
- Brake rotor
- Anti-lock Brake System (ABS) sensor from the backing plate
- Hub and bearing assembly from the backing plate
- Hub and bearing assembly from the halfshaft
- Hub and bearing assembly

To Install:
Exploded view of the front hub mounting and related components

Install or connect the following:
- Hub and bearing assembly onto the halfshaft
- Hub and bearing assembly to the backing plate. Torque the 3 bolts alternately and evenly to 70 ft. lbs. (95 Nm).
- ABS sensor
- Brake rotor
- Caliper on the steering knuckle.
- Halfshaft nut. Torque it to 118 ft. lbs. (160 Nm).
- Front wheel. Torque the nuts to 100 ft. lbs. (140 Nm).

How to replace front wheel bearings

Hello, the front wheel bearing is not to be serviced seperately, it comes as a complete unit with the front hub and the ABS sensor ring.

so there is no need to press the bearing into the hub.

Just remove the driveshafts, the rotors and calibers and replace the hub.

91 suzuki side kick 4x4 manual. When I lock the hubs in, and put it into h4, the front wheels don't grab. The transfer case seems to be working fine. When I lock the passenger side hub in, you can hear the...

Hubs do quit working. Jack both front wheels off of the ground and lock the hubs but leave the transfer case in 2wd. If you spin one wheel the other should spin backwards. If not replace the hubs. If they do spin correctly, you may have a transfer case problem or a front chunk problem.

Service and Repair

Remove front hub/steering knuckle assembly from vehicle.
Position front hub/steering knuckle assembly on a press and press front hub out of steering knuckle using a suitable removal tool.
Remove E-clip from steering knuckle, then position steering knuckle onto a press.
Using a suitable bearing remover, press bearing out of steering knuckle.
Reverse procedure to install.
