Usually the timing marks are on the front pulley.another way to replace the cam belt,is to mark the belt and each pulley with correction ink[white] and then just transfer the marks over to the new belt and then align each pulley to the marks.thats easier if the old belt hasnt moved or jumped a tooth.most *** motors have the timing marks for cambelt replacement easy to spot with corresponding raised bits of ali pedestals next to them

SOURCE: How do I remove Head Light assembly on my 1999 Lexus RX 300

After removing the top and side bolts (which are obvious) Go to the fender liner. Remove all but the top screw . You will find (by flashlight or shop light) two bolts coming out of the headlight rear. With a socket wrench and 10mm socket, remove the two nuts on the headlight and pull out the headlight from the front after insuring the bulbs are removed and identified for reinstall. Take your time. It is not difficult.

1999 lexus rx 300 need help to know were the a/c fan relay is locaited

Its in the dash, far left side in a juction box, trim will need to be removed. What exactly is the problem? If the motor doesnt work, rap on it a few times, if it starts to blow, replace the blower motor. If not, check if both wires have power, if they do, then the blower controller may be bad.

How can i find out about sating the timing marks on lexus rx 300 3.0 vsc

Get a Haynes repair manual on your vehicle from the local auto parts store. There are a few different brands out there but I have found Haynes to have better illustrations and explainations of the timing marks.

Lexus RX 300 suv

i understand why you want to do it yourself - it's expensive to have it done by a mechanic. that's because it's a major job to remove the engine, takes 4-5 hrs. i avoided having it done by having an honest mechanic i've been going to for a long time do something else (sorry, i don't know what) that fixed the problem temporarily. he told me it must be done after 90k miles or so, so i'm saving up.
