Hello my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee keeps stalling and bucking hard while driving and then will completely die when I come to a full stop or even while I'm driving. Also all electronic gages will drop drmatically for a quick sec then return back to normal. At times the engine will not even kick over or does and then stalls out the sec I press on the gas pedal. The Key immobilizer as well as the pcm (powertrain Control Module) was recently repaired as a Chrysler Dealer said was the problem. I've already brought it back in 2 additional times and problems continued and Dealer states that no fault codes can be found or problems while they test drive however it keeps happening to me on and off and last time Dealer contacte Chrysler Support and they had them check and clean all ground wires and again car was supposedly fixed and all over again same problems continue to happen. I really really needs you help. I can't take this anymore!
New guest: Have the same problem with 2004 Grand Cherokee Limited. No one can seem to find the problem.
Answer is never buy a jeep again.
Start looking for grounded wires on the back side of the head. The wiring harness is known to wear out and ground atleast one wire. Go to a local shop and check out if you have any diagnostic codes showing. It can have codes pop up and the check light not come on. I have an '04 Grand Cherokee and the harness as it runs down the backside of the head to go through the firewalll, it had grounded to the head from heat melting the wire coatings. You can either take it to the dealer to fix or get some electrical tape and save alot of money!
were is that wire at??? my 2004 jgc is doding the some thing HELP>>>
