The battery may be in a low state of charge or you may have poor connections of the battery cables due to local corrosion at the battery. Try placing the battery on slow charge for about 6 hours, then retry starting again. If it seems to work better, you may have alternator problems that fail to keep the battery fully charged. Take the car to your favorite auto parts supplier who can evaluate the performance of the alternator and also check the battery for estimated residual life. Hope this helps!
