The battery may be in a low state of charge or you may have poor connections of the battery cables due to local corrosion at the battery. Try placing the battery on slow charge for about 6 hours, then retry starting again. If it seems to work better, you may have alternator problems that fail to keep the battery fully charged. Take the car to your favorite auto parts supplier who can evaluate the performance of the alternator and also check the battery for estimated residual life. Hope this helps!

My 2007 Chevy Malibu wont crank no lights come on but their is a clicking coming from the back of the car even when the key is out of the ignition

The clicking sound you're hearing from the back of your 2007 Chevy Malibu could be due to a few different things. Here are a few possibilities:
  1. Dead battery: If the battery is dead or weak, you might hear a clicking sound when you try to start the engine. You can check the battery by trying to jump-start the car or by using a voltmeter to measure the voltage.
  2. Starter issue: If the clicking sound is coming from the starter, it could mean the starter solenoid is failing or the starter motor is damaged. A faulty starter can cause a clicking sound but no engine cranking.
  3. Relay issue: A relay is an electrical component that switches power to various systems in the vehicle. If a relay is faulty, you might hear a clicking sound when you turn the key, but no lights will come on.
  4. Alternator issue: If the alternator is failing, it may cause the battery to drain, which can lead to a clicking sound but no engine cranking.
If you're unable to diagnose the issue yourself, I recommend having a professional mechanic take a look. They can perform a thorough inspection to determine the cause of the problem and make the necessary repairs

Clicking sound then when it stop the check engine light come on. it will not start until the clicking sound stop. previous owner rewired the truck and add a sound system including a big speaker

Your jeep ecu needs to be repaired. You have what is known as the 'No Check Engine Light" no start relay clicking problem. Have the ecu either repaired (a lot cheaper) or replaced. That will eliminate the delayed check engine light and wait time to start.

It sounds as a weak battery. Try to horn with the head light on to see if it can sound.
1- Have the battery recharged.
2- Clean off the cable terminal really well to prevent corrosion built up causing high resistance. If there is high resistance at terminals, there is not enough current flowing through the starter hence there is no starting.
3- If battery is good after recharged as well as horn could sound, but still not started, then the starter solenoid needs to be checked out. Good luck.

2002 jaguar x type wont start, lights, radio, air have power. clicking sound when turning the key to start the engine. Engine light stays, no engine turnover

Hi .
unlikely to be immobiliser fault ,so check basics, try a set of jump leads or check battery voltage above 12.5,if the clicking is coming from the starter motor with a fully charged battery then suspect starter motor failure.

It wont start , has a click-click -click sound when you try to start it

Try trouble shooting by using another battery to start the vehicle. If it does not start, then the starter must have gone bad.

Not Starting/engine turning over.

Hello,
From your excellent description you may want to look at the starter solenoid? they rarely go faulty but the sounds you are hearing are symptomatic of this.
Is the battery good? it may show 12volts but amps are what we need here.
I know this sounds saft but try a booster just to confirm?
If no luck please get back to me.

BMW 318i wont start engine

I would have the battery tested. When they get cold they get weak. Next I would look at the wires on the starter to see if their loose.
