Check fuel pump, and fuel pump relay. Alot of newer vehichles have a fail-safe mode that wont let ignition spark, if no fuel pressure is present, or vice versa.
Tyhe first thing you shd always do on any car with starting problems is to check the spark on the plugs to localize the problem to either fuel or ignition problem. If u have an old spark plug lying around, remove one spark plug wire and attach it to the plug and lay it against the block. If it fires, when the engine turns, then it will most likely be fuel problem.
If it turns out to be fuel problem, you can prove it by using starting fluid carefully into the breather area.
If you have no spark try the ignition module, it controls the spark and if you don't have any and the coil is new its the only other option short of wiring or ecu!!
explain more............ what kind of plugs, wont crank????? turn over or turn over and wont start, crank no fire???? changing spark plugs wont stop a truck from running.
Make sure your distruibutor rotor in turning while cranking engine, if it is timing belt ok, more then likely your not getting spark to spark plugs check your ignition coil, but more then likely it's going to be your ignition module.
Make sure it is not firing.Since you installed the ignition module, the plugs may be fouled out by fuel.If so,replace the spark plugs, and it will start. If there is no spark, the stater in the distributor will be the most likely problem. The stater is the other part that goes out,if the ignition module doesn`t.I hope this helps, let me know if I can help you any more.
have you changed the ignition wires? perhaps firing order crossed? if not coil pack or ignition wires faulty how do you know it is not "FIREING" on 1 & 4 have you tested it with a spark tester tool???
