Chevy express conversion van air conditioning keeps breaking. this is the eighth time we have had it break in 3 years, what could be causing this? We get it fixed and within a month it stops working . The air blows out but it is not cold. The last fix was to cut the line that lead to the back of the van because that was where the leak was, so the back of the van would not have air conditioning but it still worked in the front.

I just had the same problem. If it is a regular van try under the driver seat in a plastic box. If it is a conversion van try in a pannel just behind driver seat on side of van wall behind a pannel that looks like a vent.

SOURCE: Rear air conditioning

The rear fan fuse is located in the engine compartment on the drivers side to the bottom right of the master cylinder there is a black cover, its right in there it should be a 30 amp fuse, if you flip the fuse cover it will tell you where it is. hope it helps, but if it blown look into the fan or the switch, it blew because of a reason.

That "thing" is part of the compressor clutch. When it’s spinning the clutch is engaged, when it stops the compressor is off. If it’s constantly cycling, you probably don’t have enough freon in the system. But remember, however the gas escaped before, it will escape again, unless you fix the leak.

Left my keys inside my van chevy express

Call a locksmith, if you try to break in you will most likely do more damage than good and end up costing more than getting a pro to open it for you. This advice comes from 45 years of work experiences.

Hi my 2005 chevy express van shuts off after the temp gauge jumps up and down. its not over heating. its just the gauge is malfunctioning and shutting off the engine. how can i fix it.

I doubt it is the gauge. The most likely problem is the Temp sensor sending faulty signals tot eh ECU which is causing your gauge to jump and it activates your engine safety shutoff to stop engine fires and such. Check the wires for breaks and shorts and replace the temp sensor.

How do you change spark plug leads on a 2006 chevy express van they seem to be stuck

Just twist them before pulling. If you break any wires, replace the whole set, when putting on wires, put some silicone grease in the boots.

Air conditioning belt keeps

check out the belt tension to see if that is good cause they can cause the belt to keep breaking because the spring inside goes bad.

1999 Chevy Express Van Side Door will not open

You need to replace the handle itself. The inside of the handle where the metal cable fitting attaches causes too much strain on the plastic and the molded groove breaks. Ford has the same problem. I don't know why these car man. dont just go back to all metal exterior handles. If you have time you can probably fix it with epoxy and washers, but the fastest way is to get one aftermarket or from a junkyard. Hope this answers your question.
Please remember to rate this fix.
